Credit Reporting Act 2013

Under the Credit Reporting Act 2013, the Central Bank of Ireland has created the Central Credit Register to provide a full and accurate record of loans and loan applications. Start Mortgages are required to send data to the Central Credit Register regarding your loan.
Since early 2018, you can request a copy of your own personal credit report from the Central Credit Register. Lenders can request an individual's credit report, if a loan is in arrears or if they are considering a loan application, or a change to the terms of an existing loan. NOTICE: Under the Credit Reporting Act 2013 lenders are required to provide personal and credit information for credit applications and credit agreements of €500 and above to the Central Credit Register. This information will be held on the Central Credit Register and may be used by other lenders when making decisions on your credit applications and credit agreements.An explanation of the operation of the Central Credit Register is available at www.centralcreditregister.ie
